To Maggie, my beloved blue girl who showed me that anything is possible.

JFCoventry Aussies - Maggie

When I bred Maggie to King (Lobo's Dixiana Dance King) for the second time, I knew that she would give me a girl pup to cherish and she didn't fail me. She produced only 2 girls in her last litter - a blue, Cara, for me and a darling black tri, Kenya, for my dear friend, Susan Williams. Sue says to this day that Maggie heard what we wanted in her very last litter and she gave us exactly that.

Maggie was my first aussie, and she was the first registered aussie in Manitoba (CKC and ASCA). I got her from Sally Mann (Powerpak Australian Shepherds in ON) in May, 1991. The decision to get an Australian Shepherd took me awhile to come to. I was looking at several breeds and when I saw an aussie racing in a flyball tournement in Jan. of 1991, I decided that that was the breed for me.

Maggie was born Mar. 2, 1991 and arrived by plane in early May. My life changed forever that day. Maggie introduced me to the marvelous dog sports of flyball, agility, obedience, herding and conformation. She was the first Canadian Australian Shepherd to gain the title of Scent Hurdle Dog Champion (SHDCH). She was a true ambassador of the breed, travelling across the prairie provinces and down into the States with me to compete in agility, flyball and conformation shows. She produced many champions in conformation, flyball, agility, herding and tracking. Because of Maggie, I have made many lasting friendships and travelled far and wide. When she was bred, not only did I make new friends in aussies, but my puppies' owners all became part of our extended family. It really is amazing what one dog can accomplish in a lifetime.
